OPUS rinse…

Here’s the latest rinse to the O & P of my/our OPUS. The BTL band aligns just enough – same for family, friends, and clients. This one hadn’t had a rinse for awhile and the nuances are nice, at least to me. The road to clarity continues. Author and live yours, my friend.

Overarching Vision:

“Our big dream is to whole heartedly and with deep seated humility, live our magnum opus along this highway of orange we call the Builder’s journey. Our aim is to become elite builders of elite individuals, teams, and leaders. We want to be tough, tender, and transformational. We want all willing to passionately engage in BTL practice to experience being built. We want to grow old, but not tired, with a band of CORE centered builders, families, friends, and clients who love becoming BTL, who love each other, and who attempt to embody truth in LOVE.  Our aim is,together, to transform a few individuals, teams, and leaders into ONE – together we improve. And, we want to inspire the next generation to build it even better. A life of mastery, not retirement, is our aim. Good…

Purpose:

“We Awaken, Challenge, and together we Transform a few individuals, teams, and leaders into ONE. ONE, distinct, deeply connected, and BTL.”

Your purpose is the defining statement of your work. It answers why you are here. Get this right, first. Once you know why you’re here, you can begin to imagine an engaging future worth working toward. You can dream about the future and it won’t be a nightmare – just the opposite. Your Overarching Vision is your big dream for your work. Once these two are crystal clear the final two elements are like falling out of bed easy. Your unifying strategies are just large buckets of PA – how you get it done. Don’t start working on PA without a purpose and a clear vision. That’s the recipe, remember, for a life of “do, do, do.” The BTL one is dream and do. Yeah, baby. The final piece is your scorecard for significance. Like durp, I hope to walk in your office and see it plastered with the evidence that your OPUS is working. Your scorecard for significance shows you that you’re making progress – kinda like durp’s letters of gratitude regarding his team. Very cool.

O.P.U.S. The BTL bedrock for a great work. Once you get this one clear and have momentum in mastery, we’ll author another one for your life. Over time these will merge into ONE. The aim is for you not to know when you are working and when you are playing. Someday, like Jack or Chateaubriand, you’ll look something like this.

“A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.”

Your OPUS. The roadmap toward mastering the art of living. Which road you on, friend. The do, do, do trail or the dream and do ONE? Hope to see you on the ONE..
