Thanksgiving already started right. This morning four men made their way to the OSU wrestling room off Steelwood. We banged out heavies, dead lifts, push ups, rope climbs, sled pulls/push, fluttered to death, chinned, and ran till we were ragged. I’m thankful eighty minutes of pain is in my past.
Walking in the kitchen back home I was greeted by a big bird getting ready for a bake, pie being rolled out, salmon steaming, rolls rolling, coffee brewing, and three dogs jumping. Miss was concentrating as she orchestrated another miracle in the making.
The weather is spectacular. The boys are sleeping and so are Krits and Gma. There’s a Krit car wash, a couple dog walks, and countless conversations in the hours ahead. Nick is coming over as is Sue and her clan of kids and grandkids. The Scott house is headed toward full. Happy Thanksgiving, friend. I hope you are full. Remember, nothing fills us like giving. So, this day and everyday, find someone to love. Give. Give. Give. Give some more. Love does, remember. Love does.
And, love energizes the giver and the receiver. I am most thankful for love – the only pure energy in the universe. Thanks, God, for giving us this gift. Thanks, Miss, for giving this home your love. Thanks, family, for your love. I hope you, reader, are full this thanksgiving. And, remember, nothing fills you up like love. Try looking up and letting some pure stuff in. Good…
