Your brain is antifragile. Translation. It gets stronger with adversity, challenge, and pressure. The problem is modern life is mostly a comfortable and convenient construct. So, the brain creates obstacles when real ones don’t exist. You see, friend, your brain knows for it to thrive it’s got to figure it out, solve problems, learn, adapt, survive and then thrive. Stop running from fear. Peace is found on the other side of acute pain. Through it.
Guess what? Good news!
No giant steps for humankind required. Baby step into it. Not exercising? Do ten pushups today. One pull. One twenty second plank. Do it again tomorrow. Rest. Do it again after a day off. Make it eleven pups. Two chins and thirty second plank. Soon your brain will realize you’ve got plenty of challenges. It will get to work. Extrapolate to work and life. Your brain is antifragile. You can do more than you think. Fact.
What dream makes you smile? Baby step into it. Dream and do. Dream and do some mo. Accept the doing is not going to feel good for awhile. Embrace the fact that change disrupts. Hurts. Takes time. And eventually feels freakin’ magic. You are meant to do hard things well. Start by doing them kinda shitty. Progress to doing them not so well, you know. Keep working. Soon you’ll be doing hard things well. Instead of stopping? You’ll be unstoppable. You’ll think it’s play and you will want to play a little longer. Good.
Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…
