Day 2…

What a difference a day makes. Today, we were hot, cold, dry, wet, and drenched. We covered twice the distance as yesterday and nearly twice the feet climbed. It was hard, beautiful, and after 5.5 hours in the saddle, it felt brief. I did not overheat and felt like myself again. Tomorrow, Lord willing, we ride again and this time we ride to the closest proximity you can to Mont Blanc. The views will be epic and the climbing intense. Definitely planning to look left and right a bit more than today. There was little time today to do anything except death grip the handlebars to help with the climb and steady the freezing, teeth chattering descent. We’re heading to dinner soon and it feels like we’re heading to sunny skies and summits tomorrow. We never know, however, until the time arrives.

Today was supposed to be rain and storms all day. Did not look rideable. We rode, anyway. Was epic. Made the most of it, you know. So, friend, whatever your outlook for the future, remember, it changes like the weather. Plan ahead. Adjust once you’re in it. Expect trouble. Expect to get lost. Do not lose hope. You can always find your way home if you keep moving. It’s pouring now. Good.

Live hard. Love harder…

  1. You’re like Edward R. Murrow reporting from London in WW2!! “Keep your heads down and keep moving!” Great dispatches from France Chet, I never liked those cold rainy rides, however, the beautiful mountains and terrain do make it an Epic experience and thanks for sharing!

be safe, Live Hard Love Harder and live those big dreams!!

  2. BOOM.

    YES.

    AMEN.

    Simple. Not easy.

You were with the Sacred Band this AM as a question we asked about our leader – – – How is he doing? How is he going to do today? And yes, AndyT predicted it…!!!…BOOM.

Here is the beauty of it – you “get” to do it – again – tomorrow.

Man. There is some bike riding wisdom for you!

    Love you so…

Together We Transform – always, ALWAYS TOGETHER,
