Oneness is the aim for every individual and team. It’s elusive. You cannot build it within without closing your integrity gaps. Can’t close what you aren’t willing to see.
You cannot build oneness with another, leader, without exiting high competence and low character. You cannot build it without exiting high character and low competence. Oneness, on any team, requires leadership unafraid to build an inclusive and exclusive culture. Back when I became a leader the tendency was more exclusive than inclusive. We’ve over-rotated America. We are too afraid of what others think. We are too afraid to extrude toxic talent. We are afraid to extrude nice people who cannot meet the performance bar.
Oneness is the heart of high performance on your team. You, leader, are likely not extruding as much as including. Great teams extrude reluctantly and consistently. Multiplication by subtraction you know? Slow down. Reflect. Extrude.
