Thank you for your beautiful words. I receive them humbly and I am deeply moved by your recognition of my journey. The road I’ve crawled and walked, with all of its trials and tribulations, has been overflowing with – grace.
Any strength, courage, and discipline I have shown are gifts from God, refined through trials I faced not alone, but with His guidance. As John 14:1-6 reminds me – every single day – Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. In the midst of war and peace, I’ve sought to align my life with His truth, letting His will be the force that propels me ONWARD AND UPWARD.
People don’t take us to God. God takes us to people – this is one of my ‘bolted-on-beliefs’.
Through Jesus, my dear builders, my soulmate, my few* – and the Built to Lead framework, I now understand the paradox of being both strong and vulnerable and trying to discern when to fight and when to rest in God’s hands. My life is one of living out that tension—striking when necessary but always under the guidance of The Higher Calling. Any peace that anyone sees or feels from me is not mine alone; it is a reflection of the peace Jesus has given me, even in the most painful and dark times.
Your gratitude humbles me because I know that every person whose path crosses mine (No small people, No small places – thanks JohnR) has a role in this grand tapestry of life. Everyone is on their own builder’s journey – and if I can love and support them – I will. My time at war is only one part of a much larger story, a parallax view of human purpose where the call to protect overlaps with the call to build, to create, and to love. In my service, I see a reflection of your calling—one that thrives in the loving, nurturing, coaching and building that you provide your family, friends and team.
I thank you for your support. It means the world to this old puppy.
AND
I thank Jesus for giving me the strength to serve – then – and more importantly – now.
May His love and protection be with us all as we continue to crawl and walk our paths – TOGETHER.
Together We Transform – always, ALWAYS TOGETHER.
Your friend and ally,
Jim
