When the leader stops believing, someone will soon be leaving. 

When you do not believe someone is speaking truth, try this on. Simply state – “I don’t believe you.” Tune in. When you do not believe someone is capable, try this on. “I don’t believe in you.” Tune in. Be specific, concrete, and actionable with the productive action required to restore belief. Do not use a lot of words. Do not water down expectations. Truth in love takes few words. Give each teammate the opportunity to change your mind, not your standard. 

Every leader gets exactly the team they deserve. Truth. Damn.
