The Band…

This morning I joined BTL Band practice about ten minutes late. I missed a MOT. They played it back for me. Two teammates shared their story of transformation. There were tears, lots of them. Tears of joy as one teammate told another how much he inspired her to change her relationship with one she loved. She repaired an old wound with a dying dad. She did this after years of telling herself a different story about, well, her very different dad.

We’re all just dudes trying to do the hardest thing we can – becoming who we are. We need grace from God and from one another. All we gotta do is ask the Big Guy and he’s open arms and welcoming us home. The scarier part, at least for me, is asked the ones right here. Damn.

Today, the band became more ONE. We tasted it. We didn’t learn anything new. Didn’t do anything creative. Didn’t win a big client or lose one either. Seemed like just another practice until someone decided to go deep. Together we transform is true, but only if two are willing to become vulnerable and tell brothers/sisters the shit they’ve been stuffing down. Peace, remember, is found on the other side of acute pain. Sometimes your story is just that. You’re not a lone. Let it out. Peace.

Together we transform. Always together.

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder. Much harder…

    You floored me today.

When Chet asked us to write this morning, I did. But couldn’t have read it if my life depended on it. So, I will share it now, with you.

In God’s grace and Jesus’ embrace. I would go through it all again. ALL of it. Just for you Michelle. Just for you, Sister. My pen weighs 1,000 lbs…but my heart is…with you. Thank you for sharing. Thank you.

    I could NOT stop crying.

Those tears? They came from my soul, not my eyes.

Together We Transform – always, ALWAYS TOGETHER.

Thank you for catching this one Chet.

    1. Jim,

Today was what this Band is all about…It’s what this work is about…ONEness. You helped me become more ONE within and because of that, peace is the gift I received. Thank you for being the soul you are.

      Chet,

Thank you for bringing this gift to all of us! I can’t imagine my life without it. Today was a day I will never forget.

      Love to you all!

      Michelle

  2. I’m SO sorry to have missed this kairos moment this AM of transformation toward all-One in our Band. So good. God had another blessed divine appointment for me this AM with a dear long-time friend who I love dearly…Oneness. Through all the hard yards. Together. SO love what you have created, Chet, by God’s grace. Godspeed to us all in this divine calling. God help us.

    1. You missed some freakin’ magic. Of course, you would have made it even better. Glad you had some good, hard yards yourself. God bless
