Adjust…

I am complex. You are too. Let’s not make this complicated…

I’m a cyclist and a golfer. An artist and an entrepreneur. A grandpa and a goofball. Poison and wine – that’s me. Master at building individuals, teams, and leaders and not much else. A friend to a few and feared by many (this makes little sense to me but I’ve told it enough to believe it must have a grain of truth). A truth teller and sometimes too unfiltered. I could go on. I’ll stop.

You, friend, are complex. If your aim is mastering the art of living, you’re going to master the ability to adjust. Nothing is up and to the right. Course correction is essential. The key is to keep moving and adjust accordingly. I ride the Pelly now more than the road. Easier and less prone to accidents. Rode it yesterday for 140 minutes, a new PR for me in length. Still enjoy the outdoor rides but not as much as I did years ago.

I’m adjusting.

Next year I’m going to ride less and golf more. These are two of my favorite hobbies and I’m adjusting the mix. Our oldest, Jordan, is playing more golf than ever. I have a professional golfer as a client and work with the OSU golf team. I’m adjusting accordingly. Going to OSU to hit balls indoors this winter, something I’ve avoided forever. Gonna work on my short game for the first time in almost thirty years! What adjustments are you anticipating? Why not make them? You know, baby step into e’m. The best adjustments are ones we make ourselves. Don’t wait for the universe to tell you it’s time. Adjust. Good.

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder. Adjust…
