Held our last practice of 2024 (or so I thought) with a team of golfers yesterday. We’ve only had twelve team practices with this group of golfers. Been loading them up with PA’s and they’ve mostly completed ’em. I figured this team would benefit greatly from BTL. Thought it would take months upon months, however, to win their trust. Trust, leaders, takes time.
These dudes are quick learners. Sponges, really. They are exceeding expectations. Good.
So, when putting a bow on this players only practice (coaches aren’t allowed during this time of year, go figure) and getting ready to turn them out with Christmas wishes, one of them asked me when our next practice was scheduled. January 8th, I replied. The five of them gave me a look like I’d told them their puppy was sick. In unison a couple asked if I would have anytime over the next few weeks for an additional practice even if it had to be on zoom. (Smiling on the inside) I looked and gave them a date. Then, one of them asked if they could have another one. Done, I said with a grin on my face thinking how proud Coach Mo was surely gonna be.
