Does this work?

Started with a new client last week. That means starting with the basics. This client asked a good question out of the gates – how do I know this will work for me? Easy, see last Monday’s post – do the work. I’ve had clients bow out on this work or not see the changes they want to, and every time it has come down to one thing – their desire and commitment to doing the work. Not the work that I think they should do, not the work that others think they should do, but the work that they decide to do based on their writing and reflecting.

Will you write consistently? Will you take action based on what you learn about yourself? Are you willing to have someone inspect your blind spots, challenge you, and hold you accountable to your own intentions? If the answer to all of those is yes, I have yet to see someone fail. Don’t take my word for it, or anyone else’s, for that matter. Do the work and decide if you like the results. True in all domains, not just this one.

What do I mean when I say success or fail? I simply mean they consistently create and live out the life they want to live. They align their behaviors with their beliefs and they get moving in the direction of their dreams. Super simple. Not easy. One of the hardest things any human can do, actually. To quote Jimmy Dugan – the hard is what makes it great. Giddy up.
