Fathers…

My father taught me how to be tender. He was the kindest man I’ve ever met. My father in law (Nickies) taught me how to be tough. Actually, they both taught me (in their own way) how to be both.

Fathers are called to lead families and are expected to lead when they least feel like it. Fathers are called to model the way, embrace pain and suffering, and embody truth in Love. This past year our family welcomed two newbies – Jordan (Baby Daisy) and Josh (Sweet Petite, better known as Vivienne). Both are off to wonderful starts. Andrew ( Aedán James dadda) is the cagey veteran of the bunch. Just like you and me, they all have much to learn.

God, help me keep becoming. God, help me keep creating a sense of belonging. God, help me humbly lead our family. God, help me. God, please bless all these fathers. Amen.
