Anger

“Anger is rarely a primary emotion. Usually anger is some kind of defense against something else – humiliated, sad, hurt. People don’t like to feel vulnerable so they put up anger.”

Heard this the other day and I believe it’s right on. Anger is a often a masking emotion. What’s underneath it? Dig in and find out. What are you afraid to express? What do you fear happening? Why? Where does that come from?

Attack what’s underneath, do some core work around it, the anger will often resolve itself when you identify and work on the underlying issues that drive the anger. Read the Anger Trap if you’ve got an anger problem. Get to the root, set yourself free. Those in your life who are often the target of your ire will be grateful as well.
