Abundance…

As we wound down BTL Band practice this early am, it hit me squarely what makes this band so different from most band, teams, companies, or communities. We don’t talk abundance. We live it. The band is not given a paycheck by me. I do not pay them a dime. We’re a team of entrepreneurs in the weirdest of ways. We do not have JV (joint venture) deals.

I’ve never had to settle a JV dispute. Ever. Damn.

We serve clients and give clients to each other when it makes sense, not when it makes us cents. We’re a team of givers. And, my gosh, are we understanding the insane truth – it is more blessed to give than to receive, thank you, Jesus.

We’re a band of misfit toys who play together in a beautiful way, at least to me. Today, we practiced with two newbies – Dakota and Voss. They are becoming BTL, just as we are all. Some of us are a bit further up the mountain but we’re all coming together to give each other a hand, somehow, some way. Nobody cried today. Lots of Duchenne smiles. You see this band of brothers and sisters knows one thing all humans deeply desire but rarely experience. This band belongs together.

Together we transform. Always together. These two sentences are more than our tagline. It is who we are. Good to be with. Next week none other than JimmyTHEgant will grace us with his presence. If you’re one our clients fortunate enough to practice with him, get ready to get the best anti-whine pill of your life. You will be given a great gift. Don’t simply be a consumer, though. Be a conduit. Let it roll through you. Give more than you take. Damn.
