According to one body of research, we experience some sort of significant life event every 18 months on average. One interpretation – the only constant is change. Life is constantly changing, so make peace with it and get good at it.
To not be good at change is to rail at one of the few inescapable facts of life and set yourself up for rigidity and fragility. Learning to roll with the punches, to stay true to who you are, to find the possibilities and opportunities in it – that’s frickin magic.
What changes are you fighting? Slow down and write – who do you want to be in the midst of this change? How do you want to use it for good? Strengthen your core, my friend.
