Another interesting week at BUILT TO LEAD. Here is the melody line for this week.
Transformational leaders believe in YOU and me. Oddly this does not translate easily. Leaders that believe in you are just as likely to kick you in the butt as they are to give you “high fives.”
Great coaches know when to give their team feedback. Here’s the rule of thumb…EARLY AND OFTEN!
Feedback is the breakfast of champions. Great, transformational coaches give out all kinds. They raise their voice and they raise there players games. They speak softly and offer their help. They look us in the eye and tell us they know we can do more…and they mean it. They do not tolerate mediocrity. They believe in you even when you fall.
They give feedback because they WANT to. They want to build their team. They care. They believe in YOU.
The next blog will focus on this opposite truth…When the leader STOPS BE lieving…someone on the team will soon BE Leaving.
Who on your team needs a kick in the rear?
Who needs a hug?
Who needs an ear?
Who needs you to take them out for a beer?
Who needs to be told they must do more?
Who needs to be told you NO longer believe in them?
Who needs to grow?
Who must go?
What are you wating for?
What are you afraid of? Why? Why? Why?
Slow down and reflect?
