Met with one of my clients this morning. He is gaining clarity around his vision for his work. He’s been writing and wallowing with his team. Very cool. Next up, he’s going to do some “wandering.” He’s going to wander around his marketplace and see what happens. He’s been “throwing up” all over his office walls, he’s been wallowing with his team, now it’s time to wander around a bit and then come back and find even more CLARITY.
This clarity of vision takes time. Lots of time. Lots of time that busy executives do NOT seem to have. What CEO has the time to clarify and connect people to their VISION? What CEO of Y.O.U. has the time to do the same for themselves in work and life? Aren’t we all just better off letting our “crackberry” simply guide us through our day?
What do you believe? Better yet, show me your “crackberry” and I’ll SHOW you what you believe.
ANYWAY, Chris gave me some clarity today. He gave me feedback on the 8 and specifically on the BUILD YOUR VISION Essential. He LOVED it. He especially liked the questions on page 142. He told me that these questions were MAGIC for him and that they were what he kept coming back to as he wrote. He also told me that they are “kinda buried” on that page, Chet. Most people might not even see them. You know, you might want to work on making it clearer how important they are to clarifying your vision.
I AGREE.
The next addition to the books will come at the end of the year in the form of additional “missing pieces” and this will be one of them. THANK YOU, Chris.

How will we keep score?
How will we know we are getting better?
Why should we believe?
What do we need to do NOW?
