Who can’t relate to dragging ASS…

When the new guy chimed in with “Who can’t relate to dragging ASS” I knew it was going to be one of those fridays with the Pastors to remember. It was.

Here was the melody line.

As leaders we often lead with our strengths. We lead with our boldness and with our clarity. We SOUND strong. Cool.

Real strength, however, is even better. It’s the real thing. When we lead with our humility it immediately makes us REAL, HUMAN, and a part of the team. We experience the community the team has to offer. The team decides it’s safe to let the boss IN. The Executive Committee decides it’s safe to tell the TRUTH. The factory workers decide it’s safe to tell the foreman about the broken crank shaft. The producer decides it’s safe to tell the President that the deal fell through.

This team forms the building blocks of chemistry AND is on it’s way to performance.

After all, what team member can’t relate to what it feels like when you’re dragging ASS?

How’s your humility?

When was the last time you appeared a “little” weak with your teams?

Why?

  1. Today (and more days than I’d like) I can relate to dragging ass. Today (and more than in the past) I leaned on others for help and grace. Today, I hurt AND today I grew… I’m pretty sure they go together like asses and dragging.
