Back on March 2, 2009 I put out a blog titled, BTL rinse. Here’s the next rinse. The first one shared the BTL vision and purpose. This one will clarify further and will also bookend the passions that fuel from the front and the process that brings up the rear and transforms the vision toward reality. Check out our PVPP. It’s our hope and desire that understanding ours might inspire the further clarifying of yours.
BTL Passion:
We LOVE to wake the dead. We love to wake the dead in ourselves and the dead and dying in our family, friends, and clients. We LOVE, once awakened, living out our builder’s journey and being a catalyst for the builders journey of our family, friends, and clients. We love traveling this lightly traveled path that leads us to our OPUS in work and life. We love assisting our family, friends, and clients in discovering and living theirs. This work creates whole – hearted individuals, teams, and leaders that are engaged, aligned, and energized. We call these folks BUILT TO LEAD.
This is what gives us endless energy.
BTL Vision:
Our BIG dream is to transform the way the world works and lives, one individual, one team, one leader at a time. We want to become “masters” in the art of living and masters in the art of building “human masterpieces.” We want to grow old, but NOT tired, with a band of like minded builders who LOVE becoming BUILT TO LEAD, who LOVE each other, and who LOVE their family, friends, and clients enough to build them too. AND, we hope to inspire future generations to build “it” even better.
This is where we’re going, our dream state.
BTL Purpose:
We transform a “collection” of individuals, teams, and leaders into ONE. ONE that is, BUILT TO LEAD.
This is why we’re here.
BTL Process:
Our process is anything but easy. We take our family, friends, and clients through a rigorous process called the 12 8 4 powered by 2. Our process builds strong individuals (our “12 Essentials of Personal Excellence”), strong teams (our “8 Essentials of Leading Teams”), and strong leaders (our “4 Essentials of Leading Leaders”), all powered by you and your builder (2). We begin our process building one on one with the Team Leader and include others as appropriate. Our process produces high performance individuals, teams, and leaders in work and life. AND, provides a framework for replicating this throughout the entire system. The 12 8 4 can be overwhelming without the guiding hand of a BTL Builder. Do NOT attempt alone. Remember, together we improve.
THIS is what we do.
The BTL PVPP is all about the oldest concept on the planet. We believe that everyone of us is called to lead, at a minimum we are all called to lead ourselves. We also believe that we are all called and capable of greatness. Very cool.
We are a band of builders fueled by LOVE, inspired by our clear and compelling vision, defined by our sense of purpose, and disciplined in our rigorous, time tested, process. We are ready, willing, and able to build. We are ready, willing, and able to transform your collection of individuals, teams, and leaders into ONE. The key question is…

By way of context, Chet, I clarified your post for readers not familiar with the BUILT TO LEAD playbooks to list out what the 12 8 4 are.
Also by way of context, we can all use a reminder that the foundation for the PVPP is where we always begin — with building a strong CORE. Individuals with a strong CORE know what they BELIEVE — about their Worldview, their Identity, and their Principles. In that sense the CORE is always a W.I.P. — this is why part of our PROCESS is the commitment to “rinse & repeat” our CORE beliefs to gain even further clarity and grow stronger.
