Results are a lagging indicator. The current economic upheaval has been coming for years and is the result of millions of small steps that, on their own, don’t warrant anybody’s attention.
That, my friends, is the problem.
If your results are outstanding as we speak, focus on correcting some small steps NOW as if there NOT. Do not wait until the results start to slide to tweak your model and migrate your value proposition.
If, however, your results are already screaming for help don’t waste your time with a bunch of small incremental steps. Instead, focus on one or two big steps that will move the needle in short order. Don’t focus on 25 priorities.
Don’t panic.
Do not allow yourself to get overwhelmed with too many things that have to be done. Most of us get overwhelmed and try to do too much. In the end we end up effectively doing nothing.
Do one. Finish it. Study the outcome. AND…
Rinse and repeat.
Once you have “leveled out” your system, commit to a steady diet of small steps before your results scream again.
Remember, results are a lagging indicator.
