Haiti

Last Tuesday, January 12, a cataclysmic earthquake struck Haiti.

Many of us want to give and are looking for recommendations for “how”.   World Relief is a partner I personally know — they are reputable, they have low overhead, they have had workforces in Haiti for years,  and leaders in my church have visited their work in Haiti to check them out.    Here’s a message from World Relief’s Executive Director, Sammy Mah, and links where you can learn more and/or donate:

“World Relief invites you to stop for one minute at 4:53 p.m. this Tuesday – exactly one week after the quake hit – and pray for Haiti, the survivors, the churches and all the relief teams in Port-au-Prince.

Spread the Word Now

Every $2 you give empowers local churches in Port-au-Prince to feed one person two hot meals.  Please give generously, as you are able. Click here to donate securely online.

Thank you for praying for Haiti.”
