Quote of the Day

This one requires a moment of thoughtful reflection.

Slow down.

Take a deep breath.

Now, notice…

“The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice…

And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice…

There is little we can do to change…

Until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.”

Are you curious about what you don’t already know?

Are you “on the lookout” for different people, with different viewpoints than your own?

How are you feeding your curiosity?

Did you learn anything new today?

Read any good books lately?

What seems “weird” to you?

Please share some new thing you’re learning…

  1. Jim, i really like your quote.
As i journey through life I am starting to notice how much i have missed and i ask peers and good friends to help me.
Curiosity is more of the challenge for me at times as i tend to be so curious that i tend to go many directions out of curiosity. I happen to learn something today that was right under my nose and not explored. That made my day. Many good books have been read and many i’m looking forward to reading. You know what seems weird to me is not be curious.
    Thanks for writing.

  2. Good hitting with this, Jimbo Sully.

I would do well to notice more with my bride and my kids. . . amazing how I can apply supernatural senses when at “work” followed by a deploring level of obtuseness at “home”. Which simply is a good reminder that my OPUS is still a “work in process.”

  3. Spot-on, Sully! I’m curious, for sure. But still, I’m too often more curious about my RESPONSE to a situation than my clear UNDERSTANDING of it. More listening is the key for me. More CURIOUS listening…
