The movie, The Book of ELI, is another BTL flick. My son, Taylor, bought this for the family yesterday and before the day was done he and I had turned it on. We both loved it. He thought I would. We both figured out that the book was the Bible at the exact point in the movie, we both imagined that this movies reality could become ours, we both sat in awe of how much we take for granted, we didn’t understand Carnegie, we neither understood how or if Eli was handicapped, we both thought it was funny that “Jackie” from the television series about the 70’s was in the opposite starring role, and we both knew that I would be using a number of clips in many a client interaction…

Hollywood told another great story and never ceases to amaze me with their ability to package up the oldest tale know to humankind and make it appear in fresh and unique ways. We must really want to know this story. We must really want to see somebody live it. We must be wired this way. We must.
Check out this flick and when you do check out the two leadership styles and the effect they have on the two different teams.
Check out Eli’s vision and why he was on a dream and do path. Check out Carnegie and his purpose worth dying for. Check out why people follow Eli, namely ONE. AND why the masses follow Carnegie until it’s obvious that his fear is done.
AND, play the last scene over and over until you can recite Eli’s final prayer of thanksgiving. Then look in the mirror and tell me who you see.
