High Integrity…

High integrity leads to wholeness.  The more integrity an individual has the more unified they are.  The stronger the CORE, the more integrated the individuals work and life.  Less regret.  Less internal conflict about whether to say yes, no, or maybe so.  More action that is productive.  More action that is whole heartedly in alignment and appears so engaging.

Today, as I met with another BTL client, a downside to high integrity hit me in a moment of clarity.  Here it is.  Do NOT miss this.  This could be huge.  High integrity leads the individual to treat all people the same.  This is not normal and not conducive to “playing the game” in any politically charged community.  High integrity is scary to people in power and even scarier to master spinners.  High integrity will cause trouble and will often be heard as truth in anger, even when the sender can’t see it.  Most of us do not receive the truth very well.  Oftentimes, it hurts.

Mastering this craft is the stuff of real charisma.  Master connectors are not masters without mastering this internal struggle along the way.  Master connectors understand that integrity is real power and that it’s a skill to be built.  Slowly and carefully.

Build your strong CORE. Speak from your heart.  The spinning “some kind of shit,” will stop.  You may be perceived as telling the truth in anger as you unify your words, your face, your tone, and your actions.  This will take time and disciplined courage.  I scare the shit out of some people because they misread my intensity.  Larry, my dear brother, was misread by many.  He had a ton of integrity.  He just did.  He treated people as people.  He pissed off many that were expecting “special” treatment. He was mastering truth in LOVE. He was a work in process.  You and I are as well.  None of us will completely unify ourselves, much less our teams, while on this journey.  That, my friends, is our aim; just not our reality.  At least not yet…

High integrity leads to wholeness and it will be misperceived and messy along the way.  Build your strong CORE, find your voice, and over time and through adversity your integrated work and life will become BUILT TO LEAD.

Truth in LOVE is high integrity.  This will set you free.  Very cool.  Do you see it?
