Reading the Empire of the Summer Moon, by S.C. Gwynne. Reading history, I’ve found, is much better for leaders than reading the latest bullshit leadership book written by another bullshit guru.
Study history. Learn from it. Apply what you learn to your story, your business, your life. Study some more. Study those that are like you. Study those that are not.
Study, learn, and apply.

Here’s one I’m reading now: “Paris 1919: Six Months That Changed the World.” Story of US President Wilson, French President Clemenceau, British Prime Minister Lloyd George, and how they negotiated what would happen to Europe following WWI. Tons of stuff I never knew before, both about the world and the men.
