One of my clients told his team, during one of our recent practices, that “it’s inevitable.” I about lost it.
It doesn’t matter the circumstances or the situation, no team gives their whole heart to a leader who utters those two little words. If it’s inevitable, why do we need you to lead us? If it’s inevitable, why do you want to lead us there? If it’s inevitable, why don’t we just surrender now and get it over with?
