Tomorrow we ride to remember our dear brother LA. Larry left us suddenly on May 21, 2009 as he laughed with me on the phone about our upcoming cycling trip to France.
We miss riding behind the “L Train” as his strong and long frame was like being behind a locomotive. We miss being “with him.” We used to meet oftentimes in between our houses on a road called Seldom Seen. I still look for him every time I head down Seldom Seen Road. I just do.
Tomorrow, however, we’ll meet at the Powell Gazebo at 8 bells and retrace the steps of Larry’s last ride. We’ll head north and meet up with the boys from Delaware along the river. We’ll head to Magnetic Springs and then begin our loop back.
The wind will be blowing and likely we’ll fight it all the way home. Somehow, I’m certain our brother will be with us and his spirit will unite us and give us our second wind.
Tomorrow we’ll ride and we’ll remember. See you tomorrow, my friends.
See you later, my builder.
See you later…

Very cool, brother. He is WITH you, alive in your hearts and in your smiles. Thank you for the love you gave him while he was here…a gift that lasts.
RUN as you ride, Chester. Run…
