Happy Thanksgiving a day early everybody. Here’s the recipe, remember, for making tomorrow a little bit happier. It’s as easy as 1,2,3.
1. Choose PA (productive action) over inaction. Remember, we are all “naturally” lazy, just in different ways. Look at what you’ve been putting on your list and routinely putting off. Done so.
2. Choose ACUTE pain over something annoying or unpleasant. Remember, the harder path you choose the more your system rallies its resources. Think one legged TRX planks for 60 seconds. Done so.
3. Choose commitment over freedom. You think you are happiest when you are free as a bird. Birds, it turns out, are happiest when they do what they were made to do, fly. Commit to finding and living your OPUS and, you too, will take flight.
Choose action over inaction. Choose acute pain over taking the easy way out. Choose commitment over freedom. Choose this way, today, and have a happier Thanksgiving, tomorrow. Funny, huh.
We think that having it all, taking it easy, doing nothing, and feeling free will make us happy. Look around you for the evidence to support this belief. The happiest people are the busiest, the most purposeful, the committed, and the most pained it turns out.
Pain is inevitable, my friend. Misery is a choice.
Kinda funny recipe for Thanksgiving, I know, but check it out, it aligns perfectly with your ancestors, Pilgrim…
