Twenty one Pilots, Grandpa,The LC, LA, and some much needed lift…

Last night Miss and I, along with 2300 others, crammed into the soldout LC to give another listen to Twenty One Pilots.  This two piece band is now two for two in my books. I like their sound a lot, but it’s their energy and passion that attracts me and keeps me coming back.

Twenty one Pilots went from being the first local band to EVER sell out the Newport, to being the first local band to EVER sell out the LC.  That’s just “cray,” huh FD…

Last night Miss and I were fortunate to get tickets from a friend that allowed us to stand upstairs in the VIP section.  We stood about three back from the railing but all that was in front of us were people sitting either in chairs or on the floor.  We could see perfectly.  Miss pointed out that the lead singers dad and mom were seated directly to our left. And, she said, just to their left was his grandfather. I couldn’t stop watching The Pilots and I couldn’t stop watching Grandpa.  Grandpa was loving it…

As the concert headed toward the close, they dropped a big announcement on their fans.  They told us something that nobody outside the LC, knew. Everybody loves that kinda announcement.  Twenty one Pilots announced that they had been signed by a record label who was going to fly them to LA today to record, and who was going to give them fuel to fly their songs all over the air. Very cool. They basically told us that this new label was going to give them some much needed lift.

As we walked out into the crisp night air, a welcome change from the steamy confines btw, my mind snapped into gear and started thinking about extrapolating what we had just seen to what we do at BTL. Yes, I know, kinda weird.

Here it is. Do NOT miss this. Think of authoring your OPUS as giving your dream some much needed lift. You see, we all have a song,a book, an art, a work, and a life that needs a little lift so,it too, can take flight. Our framework, much like a record label, doesn’t make the artist. The artist does, of course. Y.O.U. are the artist. We are just the catalyst to awaken, challenge, and together to transform. Twenty one Pilots has found their voice.

Your gig, if you want to know the truth,  is to find yours.  Find your voice. Sing your song.  No guarantees on the size of the audience, but if you’ve got energy and passion in you, some will show.  And, it’ll be enough.

We, the BTL Band, are happy to help if you need some lift…
