A cold ONE…

One of my Dad’s favorite verses in the Bible was Proverbs 25:25. “Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.” My first recollection of him uttering these words was when I called him on September 23, 1984 to tell him his first grandson had been born and his name was Jordan Michael. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Today, one of my clients received good news from far away. He landed a big client right when he really needed it. He shared his good news with me from five states to the west. It hit me like a splash of cold water hits me right after I’ve shaved my face for the first time all week. It just feels clean and right.

Kinda like Steve’s good news.

Here’s the funny part to me. His good news is my good news. Ditto when it’s Churp. Same when it’s from kman. No different if it’s young kenny, FM, Dave, John, Jdub, Suit, TZ, jlo or any member of their team or the BTL band. The best part about becoming ONE is celebrating the successes of others kinda like you would your own. Talk about refreshing…

News bulletin. This will come as no surprise. Today, like most every day, lots of shit came at me and most likely you too. “It just happens,” doesn’t it. Normal. The only thoughts I’m allowing to stick around, however, are those good vibrations I’m feeling from Steve. I’m watering the good stuff, so to speak.

Everyday we have the choice to focus our attention on the shit or on the refreshing. Water the good stuff. Remember, the grass is always greener where you water it. FACT.
