Own your shit…

Today, in practice 38 with a team of eight crazies, I reminded this clan of why we go back with more frequency then we go forward. Masters get comfortable going back without getting bored.

Today we went back to page 222 in the 12 Essentials. I purposely bored this team. Then we moved to 223 and tried to solve our problem. Here’s what we learned about problems.

The biggest problem in the world of problem solving is around identifying our shit to solve. We are NOT wired to do this by default. The untrained brain gets depressed when it focuses itself on what it can control, i.e., itself. So, by default your brain focuses on somebody else’s shit. Therein lies the problem. Funny, huh.

Remember, you are wired to see soembody else’s shit with 20/20 clarity; your own, not so much. STOP this natural habit. Build your second nature. Own your shit. Solve it. STOP stepping in another’s. Over time and through the successfully solving of your own problems, you will gain energy. Initially this focus will be more depressing. Do it, anyway. Your long term mental health depends on you solving your shit, not mine. Getting lost trying to stop me from swearing isn’t your problem to solve, is it. Many, however, are losing my point because of my language…

Mental health 101, remember, is all about focusing your brain. Masters focus on becoming CORE centered and self controlling. Normal humans focus on being self centered and other controlling. You choose. Your choices have consequences. Now that’s some good shit…
