Shoe go bye bye…

The alarm vibrated early and often this morning at 5:45. I’d slept poorly and was finally grooving in some kinda crazy dream when I realized the noise wasn’t coming from my dream cars engine but instead was simply my flip phone flipping out. Bummer. Upstairs I ran and told Krits we leave in ten minutes. She lifted her head from her nice, warm pillow and said somthing like, “alright ding.”

6:05 we put the garage down and headed for our 3P workout with the kman crazies at the Gramercy. She drove separate as I had another practice to attend immediately after. Ten of us showed up and pushed, pulled, and planked like banchees. Cam counted out the pups (push ups) like they were nothing. Krit met LKZ, OG, Reika and the rest of the band. She fit right in. Frankee, Jeremy and I followed it up with a quick out and back 3 miler. Nice.

Practice 41 began at 8:15 with a reminder of why and how we speak and listen BTL style. Krits played along. For her, this was officially practice one eventhough she’s been through hundreds upon hundreds without a num. We covered a little DaVinci and embraced some paradox. We learned the power of “anding” and why it makes for good improv and ignites creative thinking. We extrapolated to our work and life. And, I was reminded of how cool it is to NOT be able to distinguish between the two.

Tonight, “shoe go bye bye” will share her last meal with us for awhile. We’ll take the best little girl back to the airport and send her back to Gods country (Kansas). We’ll never forget our time together this Memorial Day weekend. And, we’ll be forever thankful for the power and privilege of integrating. Thanks, Krits for getting up early and rolling with the 3P’s and the practice with the crazies. Thanks, kman for this gift. And, thanks crazies for trusting the process, embracing paradox, and practicing the art of the challenge.

And, “shoe go bye bye” thanks you too…

  1. I couldn’t have said it better myself… thanks Krit for joining us, it was truly our pleasure to have you. Thanks crazies for responding to the mask-less leader’s challenge, sounds like a bunch of spartans showed up, kicked ass and built their cores stronger for a day. Thank you for believing in me, for responding to my news like I hoped and for being the best bunch of crazies I could ever dreamed of.

AND thanks to Chester for, well, you know…
