I am not a fan of Nietzsche. However, I’ve learned a great deal from some of his writings. One of my favorite quotes of his is him at his ccd best.
“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”
This is why we want all our clients to struggle through finding their why’s. You see, you and I will be energized by more than one why if we’re to work and live at our best. If your only clear why for living is found at home how you gonna keep up your motivation with the mundane minutes that feel like months at work? Likewise, if you’re only why revolves around your work, how you gonna deal with the inevitable shitstorms at home?
This is why we ask ourselves and our clients our ccd best question over and over. Why are you here?
This is why humans gotta believe in something bigger than themselves too. Otherwise, when health, home, and work inevitably decline, you, kinda like Nietzsche won’t have a why to hold onto. You discovering your why’s for living matter. God, help me take comfort in knowing why I’m here. God, help me…
