Twenty five years ago the Berlin Wall came down. The year was 1989 – Andrew Paul Scott, our son, was two. Today Ann, as we like to refer to him, is living just outside Berlin in Potsdam. Yes, the same Potsdam where Churchill, Stalin, and Truman met to discuss the terms to end World War II back in 1945. Andrew is there living on a boat and studying the German language in hopes of teaching English as a second language. He commutes into Berlin each day to attend class where his classmates are from Russia, Canada, Korea, America, Finland, and a handful of other countries I can’t remember.
You and I live in a chaotic and creative time unlike any in the history of the world. Yes, we have all kinda crazy distresses arising as unintended consequences in the world where nearly anything is possible. Don’t let that stop you from responsibly enjoying and experimenting with this other worldly freedom. The wall has come down, remember.
Go.
Go explore your world and go create your masterpiece. STOP waiting until you’ve got every piece of analytics behind you. Stop waiting until some authority gives you permission. Stop waiting until your fear subsides. Stop putting up walls, my friend. Go.
The wall is down. Good…
