Chins, flutters, toes up, push ups, lunges, heavies, single arm side planks, and some saws. Nothing new this morning in the 3PP with this one little exception – we did everything sloooo.
Changed everything.
Today, we focused on “time under tension.” The aim was to put our muscles under tension through fewer reps, better form, full extension, and four count holds under tension. Our muscles weren’t expecting this and mine, for one, kinda freaked. Good. If you’re trying to gain strength in any endeavor, remember to change it up along the way. The more you surprise your system and jolt it when it least expects it, the more likely you are to push it out of equilibrium and up toward excellence. No easy day. No mindless repetition. No a,b,c,d, and e. Thursday PJ’s got the lead. The same crazies will come. TRX and body weight movements will be the focus. Nothing new, really, just PJ’s got it and we don’t know where he’s going. Good.
