Why we are here…

We ended practice 56 today with me asking my client to remind the team “why we are here.” Here’s the reason he gave his team for why they are practicing with BTL. I kinda like what he said.

“Once you get a really cool gift, the first thing you want to do is share it.”

“In 2008, I was coming out of 3 years that saw me get fired from a company I helped start by the new investors who no longer saw a need for my skills. So, I had started a real estate business that was going great until the worst recession of my lifetime hit. All of a sudden, I was without income, going heavy into debt, and had no idea how I was going to accomplish anything in my life, let alone achieve the kind of independence and choices that I passionately desired. My partner and I were able to convince our investor to hire BUILT TO LEAD to help us figure a way out of the mess.

I began working with BTL in 2008. Through a lot of thinking, writing, and acting…I slowly changed my life. I learned and I acted and I failed and I learned some more. I opened myself up to an income producing work experiment that I never would have previously considered that I totally fell in love with. The meeting of my skills and curiosity with that company’s open-mindedness gave me room to breathe and plan and act some more. Still without my own resources, I managed to partner with others to start and “invest” in two new experiments that were actually aligned with my big dream. One is still in the experimental phase but getting better as we act more quickly. One is now catching fire, because the team is starting to act, and I have never been so enriched or had more fun.

BTL was and is the catalyst that woke me up, that inspires me to kick my own, and that has enabled me to change my path even when the circumstances around me never changed to my benefit. It was simply a matter of properly directed energy along with having the right people around me. Its truly remarkable…and why I can’t wait to share it with others.
