Guinness, Budweiser, and you…

During practice today, I reminded my client to keep the right secrets. I paraphrased one of my favorite writers, Os Guinness, in doing so and told him another surprising story about beer. It is always good to use beer as a teaching tool. I asked my client to tell me which beer is more caloric and alcoholic – Guinness or Budweiser. “Of course the Guinness,” he proclaimed.

False.

You see, just because something looks dark, kinda murky, and rich, doesn’t mean it is. The truth is Guinness is 4% alcohol and 125 calories. Budweiser is 5% and around 150 cals. Looks are deceiving. What kinda b.s. you buying simply cause you’re too lazy to look beyond your first impression, the dark exterior, or the mess you can’t quite make out?

God and Guinness is a book that just might surprise you even if you are more of a “this buds for you” kinda guy. Check it out and check out anything written by Os. You won’t be disappointed in this Guinness. Good…

  1. OK, really the whole thing is true. Oswald Guinness is a great writer and I love his stuff. But right now, I just want a Bud Light Lime! ☺
