If you’re like me, your weekends are full of routines… cutting grass, knocking out honey-do projects, getting caught up on house work, grocery shopping, perhaps going to church. Right now, my weekends mostly involve driving my kids around to their games, practices or social events. Yep, I’m a glorified chauffeur, but today I’m reminding myself to embrace this seemingly mundane task because I know it doesn’t last forever.
I think I’ll try turning off the music and turning up the conversation. I think I’ll leave my phone in my pocket and watch everything. Whatever your routine is today, be present, soak it in. Look around and take a mental picture.
