Tell stories, please.
My dad gave me a copy of “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran many years ago. It is one of my favorite books and it opened an entire world to me. Inside, I found stories that are beautiful, powerful, and deep. I discovered that Khalil Gibran held a key to my heart that I didn’t know existed.
My dear grandmother gave my dad this book in the late 1960s, when my parents were getting on their feet and raising their baby, me. At the time, my dad was having a tough time figuring out what was going on. Life is crazy for couples with new babies…ask anyone who has done it.
The book now belongs to my beautiful daughter, and hopefully she, too, will one day pass it on.
Share stories. “The Prophet” contains stories that one should read not once or even twice. Much like those in the Bible, they should be read often because they are living, they breathe.
