The longer I live the more I appreciate a good walk with friends on the golf course. It’s slow, beautiful, challenging, and inspiring. Yesterday, after one of the most beautiful and inspiring BTL team practices with OSU WSOC, I made my way out to The Village. To my great surprise I drew the lucky straw. Had Squirrel & Tommy on the bags. Slo my running mate. Easily parred the first five holes. Woke up on six and quickly made six. Got back in rhythm and, par for the course, better results followed along. Did. Not. Care. Really. Was simply grateful to be playing with friends. Squirrel’s been on my bag for all thirty one years I’ve been a member. Tommy been along for two thirds of the ride. Slo picked up my financial advisory role nearly fifteen years ago and been a client and friend for much longer.
Yesterday was filled with golf and gratitude. Today? Six practices. Two in person. Four virtual. All freakin’ magic. All with clients I love making do what they can. All with clients I’m growing old but not tired beside. Tomorrow? Not really thinking much ‘bout that. Today, you know, I’m in my OPUS. Still filled with golf and gratitude. You?
Live hard. Love harder…
