Freakin’ magic band practice yesterday. We got after it to bring back a sense of wholeness. Every team has holes, you know. We are not immune. Thank God we’ve got a GUguy (much more than a glue guy).
You see, yesterday, Gu dropped another one of his wisdom bombs. It was ccd magic. He reminded us of who we are, why we’re here, and how we handle the privilege of being a part of BTL. He reminded us to show more grace & mercy. Even defined it.
Grace, he shared, is receiving what we do not deserve. Mercy is NOT getting what we rightly deserve. Damn. Who on your team needs grace & mercy, you know? How ‘bout your friends? Family? You?
God, help me pass along the gift of your love (did nothing to deserve.) God, help me show mercy as you’ve been beyond merciful (undeservedly so) to my sorriness. God, help me ooze grace & mercy. God, help me.
