Excellence…

Excellence costs, it has a price. Excellence, as Aristotle noted long ago, is a habit. We are what we repeatedly do.

Fear motivates. Love inspires. Use both. Seasonally, the first. A lifetime for the latter.

Remember the performance zones. Just this side of chaos is more mindset than anything. Build the habit of telling yourself “I got this” in moments of hard. Calm the nerves with breath. Focus on your aim, not your obstacles. Habituate leaning in when pressure rises and performance is challenged. Second wind is real. So is third and fourth. Fear fatigues unless you harness it. Fear lessens when you face it. Like Neo, we stop running, catch our breath and begin to believe. FM, baby.

“You don’t rise to your expectations, you fall to the level of your training.” Some dead. Greek dude shared this tough truth eons ago. Still true. What is your training habituating today? Focus here.

Live hard. Love harder…
