
Autonomy by definition is “the right or condition of self – government.” Autonomy is a flow trigger. You will not experience flow for long if you don’t feel like you’re in control. Autonomy and attention are interrelated. Focused attention, in what psychologists call “deep now,” is required for a sense of autonomy and foundational to flow. Translation.
Multitasking (attempting to do two things at once) and Fear (allowing the mind to wander from past regret to future anxiety), are soul crushing and performance crippling. Stay in the moment. Sounds good, but how?
