Back as a kid this phrase was thrown around as a threat by many a bully. After pushing me around the playground, they would snidely comment something like – “Hey punk, what you gonna do about it,” knowing I was too small to do much of anything. So I focused my energy on beating them in whatever was the playground game of the day. Funny what sticks with us, huh.
At BTL we use this phrase as a reminder. We want our family, friends, and clients to write for clarity. We teach them to write feeling, thinking, and learning at least a couple times during each practice. The writing brings clarity within. After feeling, thinking, and learning comes the money piece. We do not get better by paying attention to feeling, getting better with our thinking process, or even by amassing learning and knowledge. We get better by doing something about it. So, the last element is writing exactly that. What you gonna do about it? This clarity is key. Then the money. Do it.
Hey friend, what you gonna do about it?
Live hard. Love harder. Do it…
