Grappy saved my life three years ago. He’s a brother to me. I never had one. Always wanted one, you know. Have two in Heaven (Charles Godwin and David Michael). One lived for one breath and the other for an hour or so.
Grappy, driving to our workout yesterday, had a horrific car accident. I sped over the minute I heard the damn news. Parked in front of The James and rushed in as if I was going to do something. Of course there was nothing I could do except “be with.” The wonderful Doctor, Andy Thomas, made sure he had the best of care. Thanks, Doc.
He will recover. Gonna take some time, patience, and a lot of chosen suffering. He’s good at the latter, sucks at the former.
I’m writing to petition you to pray in earnest for his healing and his family. I’m a big believer in the power of prayer. Will you join me in adding him to your prayer list? If you want to pray for him by his given name, it’s Tom. He’s always been Grappy to me.
God bless you. Remember this. Really remember and live accordingly. We are all hanging by a thread. Same as ever.

Dear God, Lord I pray for your son and our brother, Tom. Fortify him with your healing Grace and your Strength to endure the pains of the flesh in this season of his life. I believe, as with all of us on this side of Eternity, you are still working in him and through him to fullfill your purpose. Give him your heart Lord so that he may continue to walk out your purpose on this earth. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
