Wake up…

Every so often, you should contemplate your death. You and I have a built in expiration date, we just don’t know it. What if you knew, for instance, as I challenged a client yesterday, if you only had another ten years left in you? Would you continue to do the work you’re doing the way you’re doing it? His answer was an emphatic – “Hell no.” My response was ccd.

It’s not an authentic OPUS, friend.

Time for a hard rinse. You are living worn out identities, friend. Time to get real within. Your CORE has grown weak and you’re no longer standing strong. Then, I asked him what he thought. Was I nuts, out of bounds, or just plain incorrect. After a lengthy pause, he thanked me. Shared his writing and PA. This practice was his wake up call, he shared. Good.

Together we Awaken, Challenge, and Transform. These are the opening words to BTL’s purpose statement. We invest most of our building time, waking ourselves and others the hell up. Nothing transformational happens until you wake up. You, friend, have limited time. Your CORE & OPUS are not static. Rarely will the world notice your adjustments. You will. Our next practice (with this client) is gonna be epic, not easy. Remember you can do what is easy now and life will get really hard. You can do what is hard and life will get easier. Slow down. Reflect. Are you awake and oriented times four? Look it up. Live it out. Start now.
