Life…

Life is an energy management problem and it’s yours to solve. Yesterday, during practice ONE.121, we did some work within. I’ve decided to keep it simple this season as OSU sports get back after it. OSU womens soccer is filled with winners. The coaches are brilliant, led by Lori who leads with a tough (but very real) kinda love. Thanks, Cbear, for calling this one well before I did…

These athletes are better women. They are going to change the world. So much talent and even better character. They are only limited by their internal chatter. We are working to change that. They will not face a better opponent all year (my belief), even though the experts have predicted they’ll finish in the middle of the BIG. Their biggest battle? The fight within.

Birz birz. Fish. Izzy. Miss V. Talani. Emma 2.0., and many more. You all would be so inspired by this group of cagey veterans and eager newcomers. They will struggle as all of us do. I only wish I could live long enough to see the later chapters. Gonna be epic. This program is producing strong women, humble leaders, and future moms on a mission. Cannot wait to see…

You see, friend, your biggest wins are not on the field of play. The BIG ones are much later. Seeing great fathers and mothers. Seeing a few go pro. Seeing some become masters. The greatest wins are little victories within. So, coaches, remember this. You are doing great work. You are building our next generation of leaders. God bless you for your love and commitment to doing what’s right even when it’s highly unpopular. Thank you for the privilege of building beside you. Would. Not. Trade. This. For. More. Dinero.

Life is an energy management problem. Significance solves; mo money, not so much. What about you, friend. What are you chasing? I’m heading to my cardiologist this morning so he check how my hearts doing. I already know it’s filled to overflowing. Yeah, baby!

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…

  1. Your writing gives all of us hope and inspiration, especially in times of political turmoil, cultural wars and articles doubting the commitment of this younger generation!

You’re seeing first hand great young athletes who undoubtedly will be some of our best leaders in years to come!

congratulations to you and Lori, doing great work!
