Here, by way of reminder, is the deliberate practice recipe. Deliberate practice is the foundation of high performance. Don’t miss this. This could be HUGE.
Pick a target. Reach. Fail. Learn. Reach again. Fail. Learn. Reach again. Achieve (build competence). Level up. Pick a more aggressive target. Rinse and repeat.
Kinda like happiness, confidence is a great outcome but a horrible aim. Build competence and confidence comes along for the ride. What’s a worthy target? LFG, friend.
Live hard. Love harder…

I was just referred to this blog by a mutual contact. After reading this post, I’m curious if the concept of “deliberate practice” is at all in reference to the book Talent is Overrated by Geoffrey Colvin. I love the concept. LFG…every day.
Welcome Casey. Deliberate practice is a concept put forth by Anders Ericsson in his book Peak. Lots of other authors refer to him including Colvin. Glad you love it. Thanks for your attention.
