You’re a performer. You perform at home, work, school, on the field, and throughout life. Here’s something to think about. Most of us perform based on the conditions. If things are going our way, if we feel good, if the boss is kind, if the weather’s right, the list goes on and on. Our performance varies. It’s conditional.
Some perform based on a decision. We’ve decided to play this way, I’ve committed to showing up on time, I’m going to finish this, in fact I’ve decided this is who I am. A decision is stronger than a condition.
The elite, the few, and my hope for me and you, is that we elevate our performances to an expression. When you see your game, work, life, as an expression of who you are, it’s sacred each and every time you get the opportunity to perform. Your performance is your expression of you at your best. Next time you step on the court, pitch, or boardroom, prime yourself to express yourself. Do not think about being impressive, do not cloud the mind with doubts about the opponent, remind yourself of your CORE & OPUS. Your compass and map. Express who you are. Consistency, clarity, and conviction, come from within. A strong CORE, there is no substitute. Yeah, baby.
