The Apostle Paul used the Greek word “Makrothumeo” often in his teachings. The word literally translates “long hearted.” We are called to be long hearted with each other as God is with us. This is simple, not easy. Remember this, leader, when dealing with those you lead. Practice being patient.
My nature is impatient. God, help me build a better, second nature. God, help me NOT be quick to anger, rush to judge, and slow to forgive. God, help me become more long hearted while not lowering standards. God, help me.
